|Welcome to Sure Hope Church ✟||
Sure Hope Church hope that you can support this charity. Thank you.
Feeding people living in the County of Conwy who are in crisis and unable to afford food.
If you would like to donate food, we have a number of drop-off points throughout the county of Conwy.
If you attend a church, have a child in school, or a work-place that supports us regularly, they will have a collection bucket available. If you know of one that would like to start supporting us, then we can supply a bucket and collect donations on a regular basis.
The links below list the foods we most urgently need right now, current food donation points, and a link to give a monetary donation. Whilst we rely heavily on volunteers, we do have a few overheads to cover – such as a part-time paid co-ordinator, utilities and transport costs. We also purchase certain food items when we are short.
You can leave food with us:
Please feel free to drop of any food at: Sure Hope Church. 317 Abergele Road, Old Colwyn, LL29 9YF.
How to get a food parcel:
The Food Bank is for a crisis situation, not maintenance, so it is to assist people through a temporary shortfall in money when they cannot afford food.
You cannot ask us directly for a food parcel for yourself, your family, or your friends. This is because we need to know that the person or family are getting the help they need to deal with the crisis situation.
We take referrals from a number of agencies and organisations that have support workers that know how to deal effectively and appropriately with the crisis, and can refer on for further help and support if needed. If you need help in a crisis situation, and need a referral to the food bank, you can ask the following (examples only):
Church leader or official
Citizens Advice Bureau
Health Authority official, such as GP, nurse, mental health team, etc.
Welfare Officer, for example in colleges or work places.
